We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Living in community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why LifeGroups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.
Your Life is Your Group
Give groups a try
If you want to learn what Scripture says about money, marriage or being a woman, try a Short-Term Group. They're like LifeGroups, but they meet weekly for a short-term to explore one topic.Try a Group
A Great First Step
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. It's a safe place to ask the big questions about life and faith. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes, ONLINE—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally, they have three key things in common: people, a thought-provoking message and good conversation.
In this season of physical distancing, Alphas are mostly being hosted across Canada online.Register for a Group
What happens in a LifeGroup meeting?
You’ve probably seen LifeGroups meeting and not even realized it. A small group looks like friends at lunch, teams playing basketball, or people studying a book or topic of interest. At its core, a small group is a small gathering of people, and it is less about what you do and more about who you do it with. By participating in LifeGroups, you can expect to connect with others through a common activity, engage in life giving conversation and request prayer.
How often do LifeGroups meet?
LifeGroups generally meet during three seasons of the year – fall, winter, and spring, taking a small break during the summer. Most groups meet once a week or twice a month. LifeGroups are meant to bring meaning and community into the flow of your life, so even if you can’t attend every meeting, there is still great value in joining a group.
Where do LifeGroups meet?
Groups happen daily throughout the week and meet in homes, restaurants, lunchrooms, and dorms all across the city.
How long does a typical LifeGroup stay together?
Most groups meet for a ministry year (Fall-Spring). This way, new people can join groups easily and regularly. As relationships form, some groups choose to stay together for consecutive ministry years, but new members are always welcome.
Why should I join a LifeGroup?
We believe in the power of small groups to impact your life, the lives of those around you, and even our community as a whole. We believe you can only go so far on your own— God designed us to be connected to each other so that we can continue to grow in every facet of our lives.
What type of groups are there?
Our groups are as varied as we are. But we have groups for Couples, Men, Women, Adults, and Students covering a range of topics from Marriage and Parenting to Bible/Book Studies to Weekend Series Discussion.
When can I join a group?
The best time to join a group is leading up to a new ministry year; however, our LifeGroup Finder stays open, allowing you to search out and join a group anytime.
Is childcare provided?
Childcare varies from group to group. When you search our directory for a group, the group profile will indicate if childcare is available.
How do I lead a LifeGroup of my own?
The first step is to take and complete GrowhTrack. The second step is to connect with your Campus Pastor.
